About the Costume

This sweet petticoat with small polka dots was first worn by Amelia Clarkson as a young Jane Eyre in the 2011 film adaptation of Charlotte Brontë’s classic novel.

The costume was used again the same year in Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights, where it was worn on Shannon Beer as a young Catherine Earnshaw.  In addition to being muddy from long walks on the moors, patches have been added to Cathy’s skirt to give it a more aged and lived in look.
