I just found this dress again in Der Wagner Clan, which is a bit funny tbh because in the scene where the extra wears it, Cosima Wagner is giving a speech. Cosima is played by Iris Berben who first wore the dress in Buddenbrooks. I wonder if she recognized it on set.

Same. Usually not a fan of anything pink but this dress has really caught my eyes. I hope it will get used even more in the future. I’ll keep my eyes open.
I love this dress and I’m so happy I get to share it with everyone now. Btw shoutout to my lovely mum for watching Maxton Hall. Never would have looked for it in a modern drama if it wasn’t for her watching it while I walked past the living room. She unknowingly has been assisting in my hobby quite a few times now (e.g. the dress worn by Rebekah Mikaelson in The Originals which also appears in Outlander)

There’s something especially fun in finding sightings in surprising places, like modern shows with masquerade balls, or weird dreams or in adds or music video. I’ve actually submitted the necklace worn with this dress in Maxton Hall thanks to pinterest (so many findings thanks to pinterest)
Yeah, whenever a modern show has a masquerade or costume party or some such I go fishing…looking for reuses.
So true. There was also at least one more reuse in that Maxton Hall scene, however it was on a minor character and even in its original appearance, the best shot of it is from a behind the scenes photo. There are probably more hiding in that scene if one wants to dissect it. So excited to see where the necklace originally came from. I have never noticed it before. However I absolutely love pinterest when it isn’t flooded with AI slop which it tends to be these days. Still I had some finds thanks to it. Craziest one was when it suggested the original and the altered reuse right next to each other. For once the algorithm worked in showing similar works 😀
