This costume was first seen on Margaret Tyzack as Bette Fischer in the 1971 miniseries Cousin Bette. The dress wouldn’t be spotted again until 2009’s Return to Cranford, where Debra Gillett wore it as Mrs. Johnson. It was later used in 2013’s The Invisible Woman, worn by Perdita Weeks as Maria Ternan.

Mrs. Johnson also wears this two years earlier, in Cranford 2007.
Cool! Thanks!
