This charming yellow spencer was first spotted on an uncredited actress as one of the Gardiner children in the 1995 production of Pride and Prejudice. The only other known sighting of this particular piece was on an uncredited actress in the 2009 adaptation of Emma.

I think it is the same dress for sure. Imdb says it; plus, I could get some pictures… By the way, I love Charity’s Marianne. She’s the best.
And about the Gardiner girl, there are two posibilities, because there’s a Natasha Isaacs playing Alice Gardiner, and a Marie-Louise Flamank, playing Kate Gardiner…
Log in to ReplyI am now not so sure if the Spencer worn in Emma 09 is the same Spencer Charity Wakefield wears in S&S 08. I recently noticed this one, worn by one of the Gardiner children in P&P 1995. The one in P&P has the same sleeve caps as in Emma 09, and a similar button arrangement as in S&S 08. They could all be the same one, or not. Any thoughts?
