This blue striped Regency era gown has been used several times. It was first created for the 1996 ITV version of Emma (not to be confused with the Miramax theatrical version of Emma, which was also released in 1996) by costume designer Jenny Beavan, who has designed for Sense and SensibilityHowards End, and Jefferson in Paris, among others.

Kate Beckinsale first wore the gown as Emma Woodhouse in Emma in 1996. It was used again in 2003 on Julie Cox as Annabella Milbanke in Byron. In 2005 it was seen on Victoria Hamilton as Miss Graham in To the Ends of the Earth, and in 2008 it appeared in the mini-series Little Dorrit on Amanda Lawrence as Poyner. Lastly, in 2012 it was worn by Isla Fisher as Ginny Hawkins in Burke and Hare.
