Dinah Collin likely designed this green pelisse with pink bows running along the front. It was first worn in the 1995 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, where Lucy Davis wore it as Maria Lucas.

Most of the pink ribbons were removed in 2007, leaving just one along the belt, when the piece was worn again by Amanda Hale as Mary Musgrove in Persuasion.

The costume made two appearances in 2008 – on Daisy Haggard as Anne Steele in Sense and Sensibility, as well as on Morven Christie as Jane Bennett in Lost in Austen.

In 2016, the costume was seen in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies on Aisling Loftus as Charlotte Lucas, as well as the next year in 2017 on Maisie Williams as Isabel Baxter in Mary Shelley.

In 2018, the costume appeared in an adaptation of Les Misérables on an extra, and in 2019, it was worn by Kayleigh-Paige Rees as Julia Beaufort in the first season of Sanditon.

Finally, the costume was seen being worn by Freida Pinto as Selina in a promotional photo for Mr.Malcolm’s List, though the piece seems to be missing in the final film.

  4. Hi! Just wanted to chime in and say this costume has been used twice more. It was seen on Amanda Hale as Mrs. Mary Musgrove in the 2007 adaptation of Persuasion.
