Depending on the lighting, this coat can appear gold, yellow, and even somewhat brown. It was first spotted on, and likely was made for, Natasha Little’s portrayal of Rebecca (Becky) Sharp in the 1998 adaptation of Vanity Fair. In 2002 it was worn by an extra in the television miniseries Napoléon, and in 2003 it was seen on Caroline Martin as Claire Clairmont in the television movie Byron. In 2008 Linda Bassett wore it as Mrs. Jennings in Sense and Sensibility, and in 2009 it was worn by the character of Mrs. Weston, portrayed by Jodhi May in Emma.
