About the Costume

The costumes for the 2005 Pride and Prejudice were designed by Jacqueline Durran and have been reused in several productions over the years. This red gown was first seen in Pride and Prejudice, worn by Kelly Reilly as Caroline Bingley. It was used again in 2010 on Anna Madeley as Mariana in The Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister. It was seen a third time in the 2013 mini-series Death Comes to Pemberley on Jenna Coleman as Lydia Bennet. The dress appears to have undergone some minor adjustments, with the front seemingly pinned up higher than in previous uses.
