This pretty little dress was most likely made for the 1972 television production of Emma, where Doran Godwin wore it as Emma Woodhouse. It appeared again in the 1980 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice where it was seen on Jennifer Granville as Mrs. Hurst. It was later spotted on an extra as a party guest in 1983’s Mansfield Park. In 2008 another extra wore the outfit in the television mini-series, John Adams in the episode entitled Unnecessary War.
