This blue spencer was seen for the first time on the actress Jemima Rooper as Amanda Price in the 2008 television miniseries Lost in Austen. It was recycled by the 2009 television adaptation of Emma, where it was worn by Laura Pyper as Jane Fairfax.

I found this in _Number 10: Bloodline_ from 1983 on Caroline Langrishe as Eleanor Eden (the younger William Pitt’s companion). Not likely the same Spencer? But intriguing to find one in a lighter shade of blue.
This one seems a velvet without the princess seams but with added lace an the cuffs. Other than that it looks the same. Maybe the same original garment has been the inspiration?
