This incredible gown, embroidered with gold, was first spotted in Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure on an extra, though it almost certainly originated with an earlier production.

The piece appeared again many years later in the 2018 adaptation of Vanity Fair, where it was worn by Olivia Cooke as Becky Sharp.  A look at the details shows us that these are indeed the same costume!

    • I strongly suspect it’s in some of the Napoleon movies and mini-series where you see these white/gold gowns during the coronation.  I thought it was in the newest Napoleon movie, but I couldn’t 100% determine that it was, sadly. But IMO that kind of scene is where a dress like this is likely to be.
