This costume made its on-screen debut in the 1995 production of Pride and Prejudice when actress Anna Chancellor wore it for her role as Caroline Bingley. Six years later, in 2001, it was recycled by the television series Micawber for the part of Lady Macefield, played by Marion Bailey. Its third and fourth appearances were on extras in the 2003 television movie Byron and the 2004 film adaptation of Vanity Fair. It was last seen on Alex Kingston as Mrs. Bennet in the 2008 Lost in Austen.
