Really? Thank you!
Anyone know if the Dr. Who episode had some action sequences in it that made doubles necessary? IIRC, I did a ‘suggestion’ entry back when S&S24 aired. Here’s a screengrab for proof. The actress’ name is Victoria Ekanoye and other than that, she kinda got away with the most well fitting/fitted (?) costumes of the show – I’ve read, that the designer had problems finding suiting rentables as, apparently, most stock is adjustable only to a limited kind of bodytype (https://www.denofgeek.com/tv/hallmark-brings-the-black-diaspora-into-jane-austens-sense-and-sensibility/).

I don’t know for sure, but I will take a look and see what I can find out…though the idea of someone making two of these intentionally kind of makes me laugh. But it’s certainly possible!
Nicola’s costume appears to be in a private collection, so there must have been multiple copies of the yellow spencer.
Oh thank you! This is fascinating! I will reach out to them at some point!
Mrs. Elton’s entire outfit are recycled costumes!! The bonnet from “Pride and Prejudice”, and the dress from “The Regency House Party” (worn by Cesca Martin, if someone is interested in look for it — I couldn’t find it)
The Flower Dress is worn by Christina Cole as Mrs. Elton in Emma 2009 is worn on Fancesca Martin in The Regency House Party (2004) and seen on a hanger in Market Shop in Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell (2015)
Amazing! The costume is almost 25 years old!
Even older than myself, but it still look so stunning.
yes, we have wondered indeed. great find!
